NHS Wheelchair Insurance from Fish Insurance

Our NHS Wheelchair cover is designed to meet the needs of those looking to insure their Personal Wheelchair Budget funded manual or powered wheelchair and protect themselves against third-party liability claims, with the option to include loss or damage cover.

We offer policies tailored towards both manual and powered wheelchairs, with all policies including third-party liability cover, worldwide cover, and either recovery costs or a breakdown recovery service.

Choosing a policy

We offer three levels of cover, so you can choose the policy that meets your needs.

NHS Powered Plus
If the Personal Wheelchair Budget you receive has
been arranged on the basis that it’s you, rather than
the NHS, who is personally responsible for any
loss or damage to your powerchair.

NHS Powered Basic
If the Personal Wheelchair Budget you receive covers
any loss or damage caused to your powerchair, and
you only require cover for third party liability and
breakdown recovery.

NHS Manual
If the Personal Wheelchair Budget you receive is
for a manual wheelchair.

For limitations and exclusions, please refer to the Insurance Product Information Documents (IPIDs)
