Fish Named As One Of Lancashire's Hottest Companies

An independent survey has named Fish Insurance as Preston’s hottest SME (small or medium sized business) company. The Hot 100 published by Lancashire Business View magazine also named the company as the third hottest independent business in Lancashire and 15th in the county overall.
The survey provides independent confirmation of the rapid growth that Fish, which specializes in disability and independent living insurance, is enjoying. Commenting on the report the company’s sales and marketing director Warren Dickson said: “It’s always good to see your achievements recognised by independent research. What is particularly gratifying is that our performance is based upon the last accounts filed with Companies House and covering the 2006-2007 financial year. Since then our management accounts show further tremendous growth and we expect double digit expansion to be confirmed by our auditors shortly.”
Based in Preston’s Riversway Docklands Fish plans to triple its current book of nearly 60,000 policyholders, which generates around £5 million in premium income, over the next three years. It has secured private equity backing from Manchester’s Modus Private Equity with which to fund both organic growth and acquisitions.
